Juventus and Lazio are currently tied on the same 13 points in the Italian Serie A Table ; they will both be out for the elusive three points when they meet on Saturday night in Turin.

While a frustrating stalemate at the weekend meant only a brief respite before the recommencement of the international break, Juve remains ever so close to the Serie A summit and third place holds after a perfect start under Thiago Motta.

Failing to replicate the amazing feela of champions league win against RB Leipzig a few days ago, Juventus could only manage a single point during their last match at the juventus stadium against the just-promoted Cagliari.

After dominating for much of the match, thanks to an early penalty by Dusan Vlahovic, the Bianconeri threw away all the points when Douglas Luiz made an error in the 88 th minute that entailed a penalty against Juve for the fi rst time in domestic football this season.

The draw was especially lost for Thiago Motta men who were looking forward to going back to the second position but they remained within 3 points that Napoli, the leaders; they have not been defeated in the current 2024-25 season.

To reduce the average age of a club squad which was his new clubs target Motta has taken Juventus to the second youngest team in serie A this season only behind Parma with Nicolo Savona and Samuel Mbangula starting as freshmen against Cagliari.

However, they have now failed to win any of their last three top-flight matches at the Allianz Stadium, continuing a trend that started under former boss Max Allegri: Juventus last season up to 2024 have been involved in 27 league games out of which they have been involved in 14 draws more than any other team in the entire Europe’s top five football leagues.

History is definitely on their side against Lazio, as Juventus has won 15 of their previous 20 Serie A matches in Turin and lost just one. They will enter their most recent home game with confidence of victory.

Although recent results indicate a minor closing of the gap to their more successful competitors, the Biancocelesti's solitary away victory over that time period was in October 2017.

Lazio has actually won two of their past three league games against Juventus, which is as many as they had won in the previous 36 games, following their 1-0 victory over the Bianconeri in March.

More importantly, Marco Baroni's team has won all four of their recent games in both the Europa League and Serie A, marking the capital club's finest run since the year began.

They have earned the most points from losing positions this season (seven), which is undoubtedly a sign of positive mood in the camp, thanks to a 2-1 comeback victory over Empoli just before the international break, in which veteran attacker Pedro scored a late winner.

For the first time in seven years, Baroni guided Lazio to victories in both of their first two European games, and they do appear to be gaining ground. But a stellar record in Rome is not equaled by comparable performance away from home.

In comparison, they have only averaged one point per game away from Stadio Olimpico this season, despite winning seven of their past nine home games in Serie A and scoring two goals every ninety minutes during that time.

Tim Weah will return to the team after recovering from an ankle injury, but Hiago Motta will need to reallocate some of his resources.

Dusan Vlahovic, who is certain to start up front, has the potential to score in four straight games for the first time since joining Juventus. The Serbian striker has already scored six goals in seven league games against Lazio, including two headers, two right-footed goals, and two left-footed goals.

Only Manuel Lazzari (thigh) is expected to miss the trip to Turin, making Lazio manager Marco Baroni luckier than his managerial rival.

Baroni would have access to everyone else if Matteo Guendouzi recovers from a damaged toe he suffered while playing for France in the UEFA Nations League. Matias Vecino, who just recovered from an injury, is available to fill in at center midfield.

Only Bukayo Saka (seven) has recorded more assists throughout Europe's top five divisions this season than left-back Nuno Tavares, who has had an incredible start to his career at his new club with five in as many Serie A games thus far.
