The Pacers will host the Phoenix Suns on Sunday at the NBA's Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Suns (15–17) are ranked 11th in the Western Conference, while the Pacers (17–18) are ranked ninth in the Eastern Conference.

The Pacers, who have been playing well lately, defeated the Miami Heat 128-115 on the road on Friday to record their seventh victory in ten games.

Indiana shot 53% from the floor and made 17 of 40 from beyond the arc, but Haliburton had a strong game with 33 points and 15 assists.

With an average of 115.0 points per game, the Pacers are currently among the top 10 in the scoring categories; but, they are in the bottom 10 defensively, giving up 116.8 points per game.

On the other hand, the Phoenix Suns, who have been playing poorly lately, lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 117–112 in the middle of the week, suffering their sixth straight loss.

Kevin Durant scored 29 points to lead the squad, but Phoenix had trouble holding the Grizz from the beginning and fell behind 14 points at the half.

The Suns are rated 19th on defense, giving up 114.0 points per game, and 13th in scoring, averaging 112.2 points per game.

With a dismal 3-7 record over their previous ten games, the Phoenix Suns are currently ranked eleventh in the Western Conference. They are aiming to recover when they go to Indianapolis because they are now on a three-game losing run after losing to Memphis 117–112.

With a 7-3 record in their previous ten games, the Indiana Pacers are currently ranked third in the central division. They are once again getting close to a.500 record after a bad start, and they just went on a five-game winning streak. After defeating the Miami Heat 128-115 in their most recent game, they will try to start another.

Last game against the Grizzlies, Devin Booker returned from injury for the Phoenix Suns, sharing the court for the first time with Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and others. Beal finished with just three points in 12 minutes of play before leaving due to a hip ailment, while Durant scored 29 and Booker had a meager 16.

Although it's still uncertain if he'll make it back in time for this game, the Suns team is unable to get away with having its best players play together for long stretches of time.

Kevin Durant has been the Suns' best scorer in their previous two away games, despite their three straight defeats going into this one. He is averaging 31.7 points per game during this run, though his scoring usually suffers a little when they travel.

Devin Booker was making a significant contribution to the scoring before that, and as he recovers from his injury, we expect see his stats steadily increase. If the Suns can continue to be healthier than they have been, they will still be a contender in the Western Conference.
