Chaves has struggled notably in away games this season, accumulating a mere three points from a potential 21. Their defensive vulnerabilities are glaring, conceding 22 goals in just seven away matches – the worst record in the league in that regard.
All signs point to Chaves facing challenges against Porto's high-intensity play, and should they concede early in the upcoming match, they could be in danger of a significant defeat in their final game of 2023.

In terms of defensive performance this season, Porto boasts the second-best record in the Primeira Liga, conceding only 11 goals, while Chaves holds the weakest defensive record, conceding 38 goals. Porto has won three of their last four games after facing initial struggles, with a five-game winning streak at home that they aim to continue on Friday.
