PSV vs Heracles

In contrast, PSV delivered a strong performance, clinching a dramatic 3-2 win against third-ranked Feyenoord, narrowing the gap to just one point behind the league leaders with two games remaining.

The Boeren faced early adversity in their match against Feyenoord, conceding two goals within the opening 10 minutes, but staged a remarkable second-half recovery, with Ivan Perisic scoring once and Noa Lang netting twice, including a last-gasp winner, to claim the vital three points.

That victory not only revitalized PSV’s ambitions of retaining their title but also extended Peter Bosz’s team’s winning streak to five matches, the longest current run in the league.

This will be PSV’s final home game of the campaign, and they boast a formidable record at Philips Stadion, having lost just once on home soil this season, with that sole defeat coming against Ajax.

Meanwhile, Heracles have enjoyed a productive 2024-25 season, currently positioned two spots higher and five points better than their final standing last year, with two matches still to play.

HAFC recovered from heavy losses to Groningen and Feyenoord by securing a notable 2-1 win over Willem II, with Ivan Mesik and Jizz Hornkamp scoring either side of halftime.

That result kept Erwin van de Looi’s team in contention for a European berth, trailing eighth-placed Go Ahead Eagles, recent KNVB Beker winners, by just two points.

Nevertheless, Heracles face an uphill battle, having secured only three away victories all season and failing to defeat PSV in their last 15 league meetings, a drought dating back to September 2015.
